FourFour2’s Lauren Mazzarella is one of the few people who knows how to spot a salon’s new trend before it really starts.
“It’s pretty easy to spot when you start to see some new things,” she says.
“And the things you notice most are the trends you can spot on the runway.”
The salon’s most recent trend has been a return to vintage and traditional style.
“You know, it’s a trend that I’ve been following since last year, when the first-run dresses were released, so it’s kind of a new take on the look,” she explains.
“I really like the vintage look, but it’s not like the ’80s and ’90s.”
The trend is also gaining traction among younger women.
“They’re not as interested in that traditional look as they were in the last couple of years,” she adds.
“I think a lot of them are kind of finding their own style now, and they’re also getting more creative with their outfits.”
The trend has also found success on social media, with people commenting on photos posted to Instagram, tagging the salon with the hashtag #ladyinbeauty.
“So much so, Instagram has become a hub for all the different trends that people are looking for,” she notes.
The salon also has a range of trendy hairstyles, including some that you might find a little boring at the salon, such as a ’90’s look.
There are also some trendy accessories, such a necktie, which are becoming popular among the millennial generation.
For a hair-care expert, it can be quite difficult to know exactly what’s going on when you go into a salon.
“Sometimes I’m just going to go in and say, ‘Oh, look, I’ve got this amazing new hairstyle for you.
I think I’m going to make a few changes,’ and then it’s like, ‘Okay, okay, that’s what you’ve got, but what about the rest of the look?'” she says, laughing.
She’s also got a few tips for the salon owner.
“If they have a stylist, I like to say, look at the hair.
Look at the style, and make sure it’s good, not too modern, not trendy, not overly trendy,” she advises.
“Just make sure you’re not going to get something too ‘too’ trendy.”
